Luke Edward Hall
WP: "What is your most beloved room in your home and why?"
Luke: "The most beloved room in my house is in our cottage in Gloucestershire - we actually only have two rooms downstairs, plus a loo and a boot room. I choose the main living space, because it's the heart of the home. On a typical Sunday in winter I can be found splayed out on the sofa down one end, reading, and usually with both of our whippets tucked under my legs, whilst Duncan might be in the armchair by the fire or down the other end in the kitchen, putting a chicken in the oven. When we have pals over it's fun to see this space filled with people and dogs, along with our towers of books, pictures, plants and endless objects. It's where everyone gathers. Well, apart from the dining room next door, it's the only place to gather! I do love houses with separate rooms for daily living, but there is at the same time something very appealing about open plan spaces - I love lots of things happening in a room at once."
